Rebag Continues Announced Store Openings Luxury handbag reseller Rebag has opened its seventh store: At 2,800 square feet, it’s Rebag’s largest store. The Miami store features an outdoor courtyard showcasing murals by street artist Andrea von Bujdoss. This is the second of 30 announced openings after Rebag raised $25 million in its Series C funding round in February this year, led by private equity company Novator, with participation from General Catalyst and FJ labs. Coresight Research insight: Recommerce is a dynamic and growing business as shoppers seek value and others look to sell lightly used designer and contemporary branded apparel and accessories. Some designer handbags are appreciating assets, and many hold their value better than apparel. We are seeing mom and pop consignment shops struggle as digitally native recommerce brands attract a wider audience. Duluth Trading to Open a Store in Mall of America Apparel and accessories retailer Duluth Trading has announced plans to debut a new store concept in the Mall of America. The store will carry Duluth’s top-selling styles. Duluth Trading CEO Stephanie Pugliese said, “We are very excited to launch this new concept store in Mall of America, which attracts 40 million annual visitors and is the number one tourist destination in the Midwest.” Ascena Update Following Ascena Retail’s latest quarterly report on June 10, we updated our full-year 2019 estimate for store closures by the group. This lowered our total figure for announced closures in 2019.   [caption id="attachment_91436" align="aligncenter" width="720"] Coresight Research attributes store openings and closures to the year in which they occurred or are expected to occur.
