Year to date in the UK, retailers have announced 1,395 store closures and 784 store openings.

What Is Happening This Week in the UK?

H&M Home Set to Open Second Store in London Swedish clothing retailer H&M has announced that it will open its second H&M Home concept store in London next spring. The new store will be located on Regent Street and will offer the full H&M Home range, including the recently launched furniture and lighting categories. The Home range was first introduced in 2009, but was launched as a stand-alone H&M store only earlier this year. Amazon Go Reportedly Set to Open First UK Store E-commerce giant Amazon is reportedly eyeing a spot close to Oxford Circus in central London for its first Amazon Go store in the UK. If the cashierless grocery store opens, it will be the first of its kind in the UK and also the first outside the US. We await confirmation regarding this development before adding it to our store openings total.
