Evans Cycles May Close Around 30 Stores British bicycle retailer Evans Cycles was recently bought out of administration by Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct and might close at least half of its 62 UK stores. Sports Direct CEO Mike Ashley said, “We are pleased to have rescued the Evans Cycles brand. However, in order to save the business, we only believe we will be able to keep 50% of stores open in the future.
