P&G Acquires First Aid Beauty Proctor & Gamble (P&G) has further expanded its empire by acquiring First Aid Beauty for an estimated $250 million. The acquisition will see P&G increase its overall market share in the beauty and personal care segment. This follows two other recent acquisitions by the retail giant in this space. No details have been disclosed regarding the terms of the deal. Poundworld to Close All 335 Stores by Early August Poundworld looks set to close the last of its stores in early August. On Thursday, administrators Deloitte stated that it expected the final tranche of stores to close by August 10. In the past week, the retailer had announced that it would close a total of 120 stores by July 24. Poundworld had 335 stores when it filed for a company voluntary arrangement in May.
