Habitat to Open Two New Standalone Stores
Home furnishing retailer Habitat plans to open two new standalone stores in the UK this autumn, marking its first expansion after Sainsbury’s acquisition back in April 2016. The new stores will be located in the Westfield shopping center in London and the new Lanes development in Brighton. The retailer had gone into liquidation back in 2011, closing all but three stores in London.
Managing Director of Habitat, Clare Askem, said, “It’s a really exciting time for Habitat as we launch our first major standalone stores in 10 years. Stores are an important part of our growth strategy, as we know that our customers love to be inspired by our furniture and furnishings in immersive store settings, so we’re thrilled that these launches will bring us to key locations in Brighton and Westfield London where we have a lot of Habitat fans.”
