VERA BRADLEY’S FIRST NEW YORK CITY LOCATION

 Vera Bradley, known for its iconic bags and accessories, opened its first full-line store in SoHo on August 25, 2016. The 2,700-square-foot store marks the relaunch of the brand and is an ode to the brand’s past, but pays close attention to where the retailer intends to head in the future. The store carries the complete Vera Bradley collection of handbags, luggage, duffel bags, travel accessories, jewelry, and some beauty and personal care items. It is the company’s first in New York City. Vera Bradley got its start as a colorful, heavily-patterned accessories brand. The company has since expanded into more refined, classic pieces including solid-colored leather handbags and accessories in order to appeal to the minimalist-inclined millennial.

Inspired by the brand’s new home, Vera Bradley released a series of bags that pay homage to New York City’s iconic skyline. Along with the local collection, the store encourages customers to engage in a personalized experience by interacting with a touch screen where customers can take and upload photos or engage the company’s hashtag, #itsgoodtobeagirl. The touch screen can also be used to purchase items that are not in the store for at-home delivery or in-store pickup.
