data from a Prosper Insights & Analytics holiday survey, 53.0% of all adults over age 18 would like to receive accessories or clothing as holiday gifts this year, as would 66.3% of millennials ages 18–34.

Olivers, founded in 2013, is a men’s athletic apparel brand that uses natural and performance materials.The brand name sounds similar to “all over,” and founder and CEO David Wolfe said that the phonetic similarity was the inspiration for the company’s first product, the All Over Short.Wolfe said that he wanted to evoke the “all over” connotation when creating a “high-quality, highly functional”men’s athletic apparel brand, so consumers would know that the brand covered all the bases in its design and construction.
The company’s fabric technology includes the All Over Stretch Weave, which incorporates four-way stretch fabric made of 88% nylon and 12% spandex; Merino Active Jersey,a 100% merino wool jersey;and Stretch Weave, a combination of 91% Cordura nylon and 9% Lycra that has four-way stretch and wicks away water.
The company was launched in a small California workshop with no venture capital funding and no detailed business plan. It was founded with a vision of creating a simpler wardrobe of everyday athletic men’s apparel.

According to Statista, revenue in the US men’s and boys’ apparel segment will total $89.6 billion in 2018. The market is expected to grow at a 2.1% CAGR through 2021, to reach $95.3 billion. Pants will be the largest category in 2018, generating sales of $33.5 billion, and the category is expected to grow at a 2.0% CAGR through 2021, to reach $35.5 billion. According to Statista, e-commerce will account for 24% of total sales in the men’s and boys’ apparel segment in 2021, compared with20% this year.

Olivers launched on Kickstarter in 2013 with the All Over Short. The funding campaign was one of the 10 most successful apparel Kickstarter campaigns in history at that time.
