NORDSTROM NAMES NEW CTO
Today, Nordstrom announced that Kumar Srinivasan joined the company as CTO. Srinivasan will focus on identifying opportunities to reduce complexity while optimizing engineering and software productivity and effectiveness within four technology teams that support the company's service and experience, loyalty and marketing, engineering and supply-chain initiatives.
Srinivasan has more than 18 years of technology and product management experience. Previously, he was the co-founder and CEO of Evocalize, which turns a brand's product catalog and knowledge of past purchasers into thousands of targeted ads in paid social media. Before that, he was chief product and technology officer for Bazaarvoice, which helps brands capture, analyze and act upon social data as well as enables authentic customer-powered marketing. Prior to that, he was vice president, general manager at Amazon, where he led Amazon Payments Merchant Solutions.

We note that Chief Technology Officer is a newly created position at the company, although the management team currently has Kirk Beardsley serving as EVP, Information Technology and Daniel Little serving as Chief Information Officer.
