Udelv, a self-driving delivery startup, announced that it would partner with Walmart to pilot an autonomous grocery delivery service. The California-based company also said it would partner with Chinese company Baidu to pilot its autonomous driving open platform, Apollo 3.5. Udelv has been using its fleet of autonomous delivery vehicles to test grocery delivery in various food markets. The company said it has completed 1,2000 deliveries and hopes to deliver up to 100 autonomous vans in 2019.

2. ForwardX debuted a self-driving suitcase called the Ovis that follows you. The suitcase is equipped with sensors to identify you – as opposed to someone else passing by – and to avoid obstacles along the way. The company said the suitcase will be available on Amazon for $800 in the second half of the year.

3. Gillette (parent company Procter & Gamble), announced it would partner with Formlabs – a Boston startup that specializes in 3D printing technology – to personalize and 3D print razor handles. Gillette showcased the new pilot concept at CES. Gillette customers can order personalized 3D printed razors and choose from 48 designs, seven colors, priced between $19 and $45. Razor handles will be printed using stereolithography, a type of 3D printing technology provided by Formlabs.
